Softball Recap: Dillon Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Dillon Christian entered their tilt with Fairmont on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Golden Tornadoes by a score of 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

Kaidyn Richardson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lilli Shooter was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Fraley Britt, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Dillon Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Fairmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Dillon Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Hoke County on the 30th. As for Fairmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-3 victory against Red Springs on the 28th.
