Softball Recap: Brandywine Wins Going Away Against Hodgson Vo-Tech

Brandywine hadn't done well against Hodgson Vo-Tech recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Eagles 16-6. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaelyn O'Connor was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Camryn Graham, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Brandywine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Brandywine is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Brandywine will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Dickinson at 3:30 p.m. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they will head out to take on Archmere Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
