Softball Recap: Gloucester County Tech Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Gloucester County Tech owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Timber Creek Regional Chargers. The win was familiar territory for Gloucester County Tech, who have now won three games in a row.

Not much got past Ashley Vossenberg, who gave up just seven hits to keep Timber Creek Regional off the board.

On the hitting side, Gloucester County Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Hernandez, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Riley Cohen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Gloucester County Tech now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Timber Creek Regional, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Gloucester County Tech will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cumberland at 4:00 p.m. Gloucester County Tech's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Timber Creek Regional, they will venture away from home to take on Our Lady of Mercy Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
