Softball Recap: Blair Bears vs. Hastings Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Blair can now relate to. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hastings Tigers on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bears, who until this matchup were averaging 2.08 runs allowed.
Brooke Janning put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up eight earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
