Softball Recap: Shadyside Comes Up Short

Shadyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Pilots. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Shadyside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Parker, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Shadyside's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

While Shadyside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
