Millville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Mainland Regional on Wednesday. The Thunderbolts' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mustangs an 11-0 shutout. The Thunderbolts' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Millville got a massive performance out of Isabella Musey, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Musey also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Kendall Mazur was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Millville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

The victory got Millville back to even at 2-2. As for Mainland Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Millville will challenge Pennsville Memorial at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mainland Regional, they will face off against St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
