Football Recap: Monte Vista Christian Takes a Loss

Monte Vista Christian lost against Watsonville back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs and the Wildcatz were almost perfectly matched up, but the Mustangs suffered a 42-41 loss. The Mustangs were up 35-21 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Monte Vista Christian lost, don't look at Evan Vessey. Despite the final result, he threw for 406 yards and six touchdowns while completing 74.6% of his passes. Isaac Loredo was Vessey's top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and three TDs.

Monte Vista Christian is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Watsonville, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

As of now, neither Monte Vista Christian nor the Wildcatz have any future games scheduled.
