Baseball Game Preview: Beaufort Eagles vs. May River Sharks

For the second straight game, Beaufort will face off against May River. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Beaufort's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so May River's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Beaufort took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let May River get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For May River's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trace Mischik, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

The victory got Beaufort back to even at 8-8. As for May River, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
