Creek Valley suffers 13th straight loss on the road

Recap: Creek Valley Storm vs. Garden County Eagles

The Creek Valley Storm struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (the Garden County Eagles had 21 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Creek Valley received a tough blow as they fell 54-36 to Garden County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Creek Valley in their matchups with Garden County: they've now lost four in a row.

Creek Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxson Wickham, who scored ten points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Timm, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five blocks.

Garden County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Logan Levick out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Levick hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Wilsie Lobner was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Creek Valley bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road. As for Garden County, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Creek Valley will take on Minatare at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Minatare focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Monday. As for Garden County, they will square off against Leyton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Leyton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
