Volleyball Recap: Granby Takes Down Ranked Kecoughtan

Granby faced Kecoughtan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Comets came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alijah Lamp paced Granby's offense, picking up eight kills. Lamp got some help from Will Findlay and his 17 assists. Finally, Andrew Parker kept Granby's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Granby's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Kecoughtan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.

Granby has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Kempsville on the 13th. As for Kecoughtan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Kellam on the 13th.
