Viewmont won the last time they faced Bonneville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Viewmont Vikings strolled past the Bonneville Lakers with points to spare, taking the game 35-20. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on four straight.
Viewmont had a senior duo take command as Mara Mickelson almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds and Mary Carr dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Carr is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Viewmont was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville only racked up five assists.
Adisyn Stone and Baya Jimenez certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Stone posted ten points and seven boards, while Jimenez had eight points in addition to nine rebounds and six steals. Stone continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Bonneville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.
Viewmont has already played their next contest, a 36-35 defeat against Clearfield on the 14th. As for Bonneville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-28 loss against Northridge on the 14th.
