Baseball Recap: Mary M. Knight Comes Up Short

Mary M. Knight couldn't beat Oakville on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Owls lost 19-5 to the Acorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Acorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 38-1 back in March.

Mary M. Knight has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Oakville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

As of now, neither Mary M. Knight nor the Acorns have any future games scheduled.
