Football Game Preview: Northgate Flames vs. Rochester Rams

Northgate is 0-9 against Rochester since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Flames will venture away from home to square off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Northgate will be strutting in after a victory while Rochester will be coming in after a defeat.

Northgate took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Summit Academy by a score of 21-12. The Flames haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 45-8, which was the final score in Rochester's tilt against Cornell on Friday.

Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Northgate, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Northgate ended up a good deal behind Rochester when the teams last played back in October of 2024, losing 38-21. Can the Flames avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
