Recap: Fort Mill Yellow Jackets vs. Rock Hill Bearcats
The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 54-30 walloping at the hands of Rock Hill on Tuesday. Fort Mill has not had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Rock Hill was led to victory by Chloe Hudson and De?Ashaj Crawford. Hudson scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Crawford scored 19 points along with four steals. Crawford has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Aubrey Stevenson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six assists and two steals.
Fort Mill's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Rock Hill, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3.
Fort Mill will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Spring Valley is ranked 44th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 41st). As for Rock Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nation Ford has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
