Soldotna pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those four games. As for Ketchikan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Kings beat Soldotna by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
