The Perry Hall Gators will face off against the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Western Tech & Environmental Science took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Perry Hall, who comes in off a win.
Perry Hall came out on top against Perry Hall Christian on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Gators had just enough and edged out Perry Hall Christian 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gators have posted since March 27, 2025.

Gavin Rayner made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Perry Hall's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Rayner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shane Gibson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jake Benner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Perry Hall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perry Hall Christian only posted a batting average of .267.
Meanwhile, Western Tech & Environmental Science entered their contest against Pikesville on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolverines lost 13-3 to the Panthers.
Western Tech & Environmental Science saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Sargent, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. True Bridgeford also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Perry Hall has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.
Perry Hall came up short against Western Tech & Environmental Science in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 8-5. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
