Volleyball Recap: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier entered their tilt with Strasburg/Zeeland on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Clippers. The Rangers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier was: they took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-6, 25-7.

Kalyn Klusmann paced Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier's offense, picking up ten kills. Klusmann got some help from Mazie Tjernlund and her 14 assists. Betsy Huber controlled things from the service line, finishing with 11 aces.

Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-1. As for Strasburg/Zeeland, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier will face off against rival Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Strasburg/Zeeland is set to take on their familiar foe LaMoure/Litchville-Marion at 7:30 p.m. on October 2.
