Rio Vista has gone a perfect 7-0 against Meridian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rio Vista has seven straight victories, Meridian has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Rio Vista made easy work of Italy and carried off a 14-5 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Meridian came up short against Hico on Friday, falling 17-1.

Rio Vista pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Rio Vista took their victory against Meridian in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-3 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
