Recap: Northside Patriots vs. Drew
There's no place like home for The Northside Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Drew with a sharp 35-12 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for Northside, who have now won four games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Northside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jai Jackson out in front who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Clay, who threw for 143 yards and a touchdown.
Northside now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Drew, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Northside will head out on the road to face off against McIntosh at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (McIntosh is ranked 202nd, while Northside is ranked 183rd). As for Drew, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harris County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harris County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
