Basketball Recap: Pickett County Continues Home Dominance on Friday

There's no place like home for Pickett County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the University School of Jackson Bruins on Friday as they made off with a 75-55 win. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pickett County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brody Pryor, who posted 19 points. Pryor's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Cobb, who put up 16 points.

Pickett County pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for University School of Jackson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Pickett County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-38 victory against Jellico on the 29th. University School of Jackson has also already played their next matchup (against South Gibson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
