Soccer Game Preview: Independence vs. Chambers

The Independence Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Chambers Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chambers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

On Thursday, Independence needed a bit of extra time to put away West Charlotte. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mighty Lions 4-3. That's two games straight that Independence have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chambers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Ashbrook on Wednesday as they made off with a 9-1 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Chambers considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Independence has now won 11 of their last 12 games at home. That gives them a 5-4 record this season. Those home victories were made possible by their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those 12 matchups. As for Chambers, the win improved their record to 5-3-2.
