Basketball Recap: Zac Winters' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lucas over Crestline

Lucas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 56-45 to the Crestline Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-42 back in January.

Several Cubs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zac Winters, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Robert Grover, who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and five steals.

Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Crestline, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Lucas will face off against Clear Fork at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestline, they will challenge Ridgedale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
