Minooka had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lincoln-Way East Griffins. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Griffins since September 11, 2018.

Leading Minooka to victory were Maddie Dostall and Kennedy Walker. Dostall had 17 digs, while Walker had 12 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Dostall has posted over her last seven matches.

Minooka's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Lincoln-Way East, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Minooka and Lincoln-Way East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Indians (ranked 41st) will meet Joliet Central (ranked 425th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way East will take on Sandburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (50 vs. 182).
