Softball Recap: Medford Gets the Win

Medford won the last time they faced Grantsburg and things went their way on Saturday too. The Raiders came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Rylee Hraby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Finley Arndt was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Victoria Konieczny was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Medford's record now sits at 14-6. As for Grantsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-4.

Medford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 win against Tomahawk on the 13th. As for Grantsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against Ellsworth on the 12th.
