Softball Game Preview: Laurens Raiders vs. Wren Hurricanes

The Laurens Raiders will head out to challenge the Wren Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Laurens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Laurens fell victim to Fountain Inn and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Fury, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Laurens saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Wren entered their match against Westside last Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hurricanes fell 5-2 to the Rams. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-5. As for Laurens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
