Recap: Antioch Christian Academy Gators vs. Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders
The Antioch Christian Academy Gators had already won eight in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.4 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They really took it to Christ the Cornerstone Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-22 victory at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Antioch Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Hayden Larrimore was on fire: she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Paityn Evans was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Antioch Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mullins Marion Christian the next time they take the court. Antioch Christian Academy will head out to face Mullins Marion Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Christ the Cornerstone Academy will host them on Friday.
