Baseball Recap: Silver Creek Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Silver Creek won the last time they faced Overfelt and things went their way on Friday too. The Raiders blew past the Royals 14-4. Considering the Raiders have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Robert 'Bobby' Resendez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Nicholas Prum was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Saxton Sinatra, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Silver Creek pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Overfelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Silver Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-3 win against Yerba Buena on the 22nd. As for Overfelt, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against Mt. Pleasant on the 22nd.
