Hudson has gone a perfect 6-0 against Brunswick recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Explorers will square off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m.

Hudson is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Jackson, who was ranked 13th at the time (Hudson was ranked 17th). The Explorers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Polar Bears on Tuesday. Explorers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Polar Bears since on Tuesday.

Hudson couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Jackson a tough time in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 32-30, 25-22, 16-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Brunswick got the win against Cleveland Heights on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-12, 25-16.

Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Brunswick, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Hudson was able to grind out a solid win over Brunswick in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Explorers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
