Soccer Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mission Vista last Tuesday, Mt. Carmel came back down to earth. The Mt. Carmel Sundevils fell just short of the Monte Vista Monarchs by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Sundevils haven't had much luck with the Monarchs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Mt. Carmel's goal came courtesy of Rasam Saadzadeh, who's now up to two this season.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Monte Vista, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Carmel will host Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monte Vista, they will challenge Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. Monte Vista's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
