Basketball Recap: East Moline United Comes Up Short

East Moline United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Galesburg Silver Streaks and fell 57-25. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 497th, while the Silver Streaks are ranked 28th).

East Moline United's defeat dropped their record down to 1-26. As for Galesburg, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Moline United will venture away from home to square off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Galesburg, they will head out to take on Normal West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
