Dillon piles up the points against Beaufort

Recap: Dillon Wildcats vs. Beaufort Eagles

The Dillon Wildcats waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Beaufort 73-40 at home.

Leading Dillon to victory were Ta'norre Monroe and Zamaurious Robertson. Monroe scored 19 points, while Robertson went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monroe has scored all season. Niyonkuru Patrick was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Beaufort lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaemin Odom, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Blackmon, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.

Dillon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Beaufort, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Dillon will head out on the road to square off against Crestwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Crestwood is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Dillon a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Beaufort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
