Soccer Recap: Lynden Takes a Loss

The matchup between Lynden and Sehome on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Lions came up short against the Mariners, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Lynden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Sehome are ranked 27th).

Lynden has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4-2 record this season. As for Sehome, the win keeps they at an undefeated 11-0-2.

Coming up, Lynden will welcome Ferndale at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sehome, they are taking a road trip to face off against Blaine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sehome are facing Blaine at the right time seeing as Blaine are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
