Football Recap: Manchester Academy Takes a Loss

Manchester Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Indianola Academy Colonels, falling 40-13. On the bright side, the 13- point effort marked the Mavericks' highest-scoring contest to date.

Manchester Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Indianola Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester Academy will take on Discovery Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manchester Academy will be up against Discovery Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Indianola Academy, they will welcome Lee Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
