Baseball Recap: Lafayette Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Lafayette had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Eureka Wildcats. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Lafayette's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Eureka, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Lafayette by a score of 7-4 on Wednesday.
