Joe Dougherty put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Friday. He pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He was dominant the last time he took on Omaha South on Thursday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Dougherty has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
