Basketball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

Midlothian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell to the Powhatan Indians 68-63. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Midlothian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Powhatan, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Midlothian will host Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Catholic has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for Powhatan, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mechanicsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Powhatan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
