Soccer Game Preview: Logan vs. West Field

The Logan Grizzlies will venture away from home to challenge the West Field Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Logan came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-1 to Ridgeline. Logan have struggled against Ridgeline recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, West Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sky View. While losing is never fun, West Field can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Sky View are ranked 26th).

West Field's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Logan skirted past West Field 1-0 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
