Zavalla fell victim to Brookeland and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Zavalla saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Zavalla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brookeland, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Zavalla will face off against Chester at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookeland, they will challenge Centerville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
