Volleyball Game Preview: Elder Panthers vs. Mason Comets

The Elder Panthers will take on the Mason Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Elder is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Kings with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Elder was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Mason got the win against Lebanon on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Mason's got stronger as the match went on, holding Lebanon to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 25-13.

Elder pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Mason, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Elder took their win against Mason in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
