Baseball Recap: Chavez Falls Short of Corcoran in the Playoffs

Chavez and Corcoran squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Chavez had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Titans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Chavez's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-6. As for Corcoran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Chavez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corcoran, they will square off against Shafter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Generals will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
