Softball Recap: Richland Center Comes Up Short

Richland Center dropped their record down to 10-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

As for Prairie du Chien, their record is now 15-6. Considering they have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Prairie du Chien's part, Irelynd Cejka and Brecklyn McCumber did most of the damage at the plate: Cejka went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while McCumber went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave McCumber a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rita Achenbach, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
