Basketball Game Preview: Giltner Hornets vs. Twin River Titans

The Giltner Hornets will square off against the Twin River Titans on Thursday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-27, which was the final score in Giltner's tilt against Shelton on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Twin River). They blew past Meridian 67-44 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Twin River's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Giltner, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
