Baseball Recap: Wesson Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Wesson hadn't done well against Franklin County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cobras were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Aiden Wallace made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wallace was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Parker Brooks was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. BP Robbins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Wesson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.

Wesson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin County, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Wesson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
