Football Recap: Riverside Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Riverside unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Camden Central Lions on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Lions are ranked 237th).

Coming up, Riverside will head out on the road to challenge Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Camden Central, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Huntingdon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
