With a playoff win on the line, Yorktown rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the South Lakes Seahawks 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

Yorktown pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for South Lakes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

Coming up, Yorktown will challenge James Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. South Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
