Softball Recap: Half Moon Bay's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Half Moon Bay finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowell Cardinals. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Zoey Schwartz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
