Briar Woods is a perfect 6-0 against Riverside since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Falcons will host the Ram at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Briar Woods' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Riverside has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Briar Woods came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 37-14 to Lightridge.

Briar Woods might have lost, but man, James Price was a machine: he rushed for 138 yards and two scores.

Meanwhile, Riverside fell victim to Stone Bridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 76-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Ram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Briar Woods, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Briar Woods was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 31-21. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ram turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
