Baseball Recap: Western Christian Takes a Loss

Western Christian is still winless after their matchup against Harrisburg on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-4 last Tuesday.

Western Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Harrisburg, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Christian will face off against Nestucca at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they will take on Cottage Grove at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
