Volleyball Recap: Valders Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Valders had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Oconto Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Valders sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 12-25, 15-11.

Their offense was headlined by Megan Hochkammer and Anna Olson, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Audrey Wagner and her 15 assists.

Valders has already played their next match (against Mishicot), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oconto also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Manawa.
