Softball Recap: Sierra Canyon Gets the Win

Sierra Canyon's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Muir Mustangs by a score of 4-1.

Lindley Asmus-Kim spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sierra Canyon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nia Melendez, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Sierra Canyon now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Muir, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

Sierra Canyon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-7 victory against Kennedy on the 1st. As for Muir, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Glendale on the 3rd.
